InstaNotes, created by Abhishek Chakraborty, is committed to your privacy. InstaNotes is accountless — there's no sign-up, login, or user profile — and this Privacy Policy explains what little information the App does handle.
By using InstaNotes, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
InstaNotes does not collect analytics or usage statistics, and there is no tracking of your activity in the App.
The App uses two third-party services:
Your notes, photos, and voice recordings are stored only on your device while you're drafting them, and are deleted automatically once you send or discard them. They're never uploaded anywhere except at the moment you tap Send — see "Sending a Note" below.
Your saved destination email addresses are stored on your device so the App can remember where to send your notes. When you add a destination, its email address is also added to a Mailgun contact list on our server, so delivery to it stays reliable. This is the only user information we store server-side. We don't currently offer an in-app way to remove an address from this list — email us at [email protected] and we'll remove it for you.
If you delete the App, all on-device data — drafts, destinations, settings — is deleted with it.
When you tap Send, your note text and any attached photos or voice recording travel from the App to our backend, which passes them to Mailgun for delivery to the one destination email address you chose. We do not log, store, or retain the content of your notes, photos, or voice recordings — not on our backend, and not anywhere else.
If you use "Send Feedback" in Settings, your feedback message is sent the same way, along with your App and iOS version, to help us diagnose issues.
